Local artist and printmaker Kassandra Morse will be teaching the coptic book binding method, which will result in a personalized sketchbook with an open spine displaying the decorative coptic binding technique.

All materials provided. There is a maximum of 10 participants. $75-125 sliding scale.

Elsa Saade is a musician, puppeteer, doula and activist. She bridges her practice with her lived experience in Lebanon where she was born and in New York City where she has lived. When performing, obsessed with grief and turmoil embedded in folk songs and traditions of Bilad Al Sham and beyond, Elsa wants her art to serve as a doula of moments around metaphorical birth and death. She will be presenting original musical compositions from a soon to be launched album and collaborating with Dima Mabsout to present visual experiences inspired by their time together in Vermont.

Join artist and florist Marger Maldonado in an exploration of natural impressions with plants on paper! Create unique organic prints using both fresh and dry flowers, leaves, and plant material through varying techniques.

Dye paper with colors found around us. 

While the plants work their magic to imprint, we will color paper using natural botanical pigments if you choose. Pre~dyed paper will be there to write on, reflect, doodle…

Join Alex Laws, experienced local writer and editor for some exciting writing exercises to set your imagination free!

What is freewriting?

We walk through a prompt, generate ideas, pick one to explore in a timed writing exercise, and share if you feel inclined.

Why freewrite?

Freewriting is fun, easy, and requires no experience.

It unlocks your creativity and helps you find flow!

Inspired by champions of creativity like Lynda Barry and Julia Cameron, it’s a journey with no map!

Limited to 15 participants, ages 12 and up. $10-$30 sliding scale.
