Plants & Prints is a community-centered series of herbal medicine making workshops hosted at Hard-Pressed and facilitated by Seedfolk Herbs and Cuneiform Press. The workshops will provide accessible, hands-on education in folk herbal medicine and printmaking to foster community care, creative expression, and health sovereignty.
By combining printmaking with the practice of herbal medicine making, we aim to:
Grow local medicine making and printmaking skills
Support intergenerational learning
Empower participants to care for themselves and their communities
Use print as a medium to share recipes, zines, and health resources
Two workshops will be conducted on Sundays from 1 to 4PM. Workshop topics will
include:
September 28: Fire Cider
October 12: Elderberry Syrup
Each workshop will include:
A short lesson on the herbs
Hands-on medicine making
Print/design activity
Take-home remedies and ephemera
Maximum of 6 participants in each workshop.
$50-75 sliding scale per workshop, or sliding scale of $85-$150 for registering for both workshops.
